Brief Biography

Barb Howard is an author, editor, creative writing instructor and workshop facilitator. Before receiving her MA in creative writing from the University of Calgary she worked as a lawyer in Calgary.

Barb won the 2009 Writers Guild of Alberta Howard O’Hagan award for short story. Her work has been published in anthologies and periodicals across Canada including Grain, The Dalhousie Review, Room of One's Own, AlbertaViews and Canadian Lawyer.

Barb has lived in Bragg Creek, Alberta since 1993.
